me and my roomate have bootlegg cable, i bought a motorola cable box off ebay to try to booklegg the internet as well, does anyone know if the connection will work if we install the high speed modem to the cable and PC or does it run off of a traditional {Phone Line} like dsl ect ect ect

In order for the modem to receive a signal, Comcast has to activate the serial number of the modem. They can only do that if they have the serial number... which you can't give them for obvious reasons.
