Does anyone know of a free host that i could use for an irc chat room like the one on this site?

How do i set one up? how do i register a channel? i dont know too much bout this and i wanna set one up.....just like the one on this forum where u go in da room wit ur forum username....etc....

ahh dude this is not a real IRC thing you dont install the Ircd this is just a link back you use i think. ICQ uses the whole IRC wannabe thing. you have to go to ICQ and make an account i think and think you get code and embed it into your site code im sure like some place that allows forum hosting you can install it.

Note: I assume all of this i have not wasted my time with this but its what i have figured you do.

iunno about where to get the embedded shit, but you can just get any irc client and connect to whatever server your channel is on...

yea it gets imbedded.....i got the script....u supposed to paste the script into ur html page.....but i dont know how u got it to work wit the forum where u enter it wit ur nik.....im really new to this....im trying to set a chat thing up....i want it exactly like how u got it here on this forum...

and since this is just a script does that mean it could be hosted on a host that does not allow irc

now i would assume there is a like read me that explains you have to do some forum script editing i have not used phpBB2 forums i like Invision Power Board. but this is a phpBB2 forum so........ if there is no read me then locohacker must have figured out which php forum file to edit custom i would assume its forumview.php or something like that. im more hands on then being good with explaining stuff expplaing stuff is a weakness of mine and also being i dont really like to type due to me being kinda lazy and all. when im in the mood is a time when i can explain. my advise is if it dont have a auto-installer to set up the mysql for the forum names to be used with this icq/irc script that you wait till i have time to get you a link to the flash chat from http://www.tufat.com
