yeap thats the key but guess what locohacker i have worked out a way to do just that :O)

but i have'nt worked on it for ages and its done by using timers to refresh the userlist.

The way i did it was to get all the users from the room and added them to a listbox on my form then matching the nickname from text1 for example to the listbox box on the form i then know how many positions down the nick name is then after finding that i used that position on the paltalk userlist to hightlight the nickname ...and there you have it text1.text will match the username in paltalk list ....... i think (hope) you understand what im saying

I think it is for both, I might give it a try, and in anywy the name that you put in a text box can be converted, maybe you will have problem with CString, but that is not a hard work to convert (thinking c++ way)

if you think it is good to do it in this way, let me know, so I can try and make a c++ code for you, maybe it will be your first program in c++ ;)
