My First Ban from the Retarded Gods

Postby furious_anger » Sun Dec 09, 2007 9:15 am

Hey everyone,
I was in a computer help room. Everything was fine until I told a novice to use a certain microsoft recomended program to the change registry settings rather than doing it manually. Next thing I know, they're telling me how stupid I am for suggesting such a thing and I'm not much of a tech, no one in their right mind would say that, blah, blah, blah. Then they posted a link for me to click on that showed their solution. So I retaliated and laughed at them because the fix was to manually hack the registry and they wanted a beginner to do this. I guess they didn't even look at the site because when I told them it was how to manually hack the registy they said I didn't know what I was talking about and then red dotted me. I logged out, went in with a new name, told them all how because they're admins they think they are gods and better than everyone else, then left. I made a new name later and somehow they've permanently banned me from the room. And by the way, this room was G-Rated and I never used a bad word and I was even tactful while retaliating.

All I really want to do now is go into the room with different names, cause them to use up all their bounces and bans so the room will be shutdown. Because as much as they may think they are, they are not and will never be gods!

I tried all the ban removers, changed ip (including proxy surfing), mac addy, product id, deleting registry keys, and changed hd serial and somehow they still know it's me. This is both frustrating and freaky to me I almost feel as if they can peer into my soul. I'm using version 9.2. Any help would be appreciated. I just want the last laugh with those a**holes!

Thanks

so im kinda late here, but not real sure if you ment a paltalk help lobby computer room banned your or what. However, a perm room ban can be removed easily if you have a router, just takes several steps.

1. uninstall pal
2. run ban remove to change HD serial, delete cookies, change mac addy, and etc.. all the typical ban removal procedures.
3. go to your router control panel, this can be doing by typing in your gateway IP address into any web browser.
4. type in your username and password (if you have never set this info, you can typically search google for the default password for your router brand and it will give you some options).
5. Change your local IP address/subnet mask
6. save your settings
7. return to the router settings and change the starting IP address.. probally only the last number will be changable.
8. restart your computer
9. instal pal
10. register with new name/pass/email

k so this works for me with perm room bans (from paltalk runned rooms such as help lobbies). Not the simplest steps to follow but easy once you've done it a few times. As far as bypassing it without a router, i never tried it so i couldn't tell you.

And what is the point of changing your local IP address?

I was wondering the same thing, Syxx mention something similar but I never understood what he meant lol 8) darkcoder way of explaining it is easy to follow thanks :swift:

What I am thinking is paltalk somehow checking the router address to identify the person pc  then again who knows

These local addresses are common to users all arownd the world.
They may change a little but within the same address range. One that is reserved for private networks, and will never be used on the internet. You can read about it in RFC 1918.
Even pairing it with your real address that's assigned by your ISP has no added value, as you can see how easly it can be changed.

In any case, paltalk practice to gather information from your PC, send to their servers, and store it on their data base, is unethical to say the least.

well i never did finish figuring out exactly what paltalk banned with the tc-5403 bans and room bans, i quit pal soon after the bans were updated. The above works to get out of tc-5403 also which some say to be a IP ban. Which is only half correct if you ask me. Never did finish narrowing it down, people have got out of bans like this by calling their ISP and making them change their IP. I received the ban after like 2 hours of trying to make them give it to me to try other things to get out of it, i came up with this. I do however find it funny that syxx was telling you about this, he used to argue with me on this forum on and on saying it didn't work... haha

Hey and thanks for the replies. I'm past all of this now. Apparently this particular room treats a lot of people the same way I was treated and now the room no longer exists. That's perfectly cool with me. BTW, no this was not a help lobby room. Those rooms really don't care about your problems and give really lame and sometimes pointless advice. And I'm basing this on personal experience and what people have personally told me.

Also, I don't know what information paltalk gathers but even after moving to a different state with a new isp, ip, serial #, pid #, mac address, new nick, and I do have a router, I was still unable to enter the room. I also scrubbed my registry for anything related to paltalk that I could find and delete it. So whatever info is gathered and stored on their servers go deeper than the aforementioned changes. So I guess there is no way to know exactly what info is gathered without hacking their servers.

I appreciate the workaround advice given, even though it didn't work.

Different e-mail address too?

There are other ways, tracing system calls, to see what kind of information they are reading from registry or hardware.
