Paltalk Programming Tutorial

Postby Departure » Tue Jan 03, 2006 9:50 am

Hey guys , I wrote a tutorial today for you all but after many hours in adobe acrobat designer and i thought i was finshed i relized i wrote the wrong tutorial for what i was meant to be explaining hahhahha

Anyway i post here for you guys and i will fix the tutorial up so it makes sence with the source code that is posted with it,

First of all replace

window = FindWindow("my window class", vbNullString)

with

window = FindWindow("seinfeld_superman", vbNullString)

change this for the whole tutorial, this is corrected in the source code, it is code for the room menuitem commands and not the main paltalk window which i wrote the tutorial for, and second of all sign in and sign out digits should be changed with something eles because sign in and sign out is usless it should be changed with "&online" and "&invisable" which are 32819 and 33285

But you should still be able to understand the tutorial and i will correct my mistakes ASAP, but it should be easy for you newbies to correct the mistakes your selfs, And submitt a correct version of the app.

Please leave comments about the tutorial even tho its not 100% correct

So to all people wanting to learn, you job is to submitt a working source that changes your status from "online" to "invisable" you should have plenty of info in this tutorial to do so, and using the infomation i just gave you above it should'nt be a problem.......

P.S please no paltalk programers submitting just to show off!!! this is made for newbies

:?: i dont care to read maybe explain what this tutorial is for? i dont see why changing this...

window = FindWindow("my window class", vbNullString)

with

window = FindWindow("seinfeld_superman", vbNullString)

when ...
window = FindWindow("seinfeld_superman", vbNullString)
just so happens to be the main paltalk window where the pal list is and what not so explain to me what this source code does im not really into reading what you put maybe a short explain will do.

well he is saying the window class name will be changed to "seinfeld_superman"
because this code is a tutorial for MENU ITEMS such as File,Actions, Setup, etc
which is part of the main paltalk window that you speak of
