question about the function "customise nickname" i

when you do a right click click on your nickname you can use the function "customise nickname" and change your nickname.
when i use the function "customise my nickname" and change my nickname, does people i have added always see me online?

That function allows you to change anyone on your list's nickname to whatever you want. However, it only changes it on your side, no one else's. So if you change you nick, you're the only one who sees it.
