Summary
On our wedding anniversary, Sienna blindfolded me as a “surprise.” When the scarf came off, I stood in a remote, wild stretch of the American West, surrounded by animals.
A plane roared overhead, and her cold voice echoed from a loudspeaker: “Mason Najimy, you said adults should know how to call a cab. Try calling one now.”
I couldn’t help but laugh. To get back at me over her assistant, she’d actually left me here. Maybe this marriage ended long ago.
I quietly took out my GPS satellite phone. “Come pick me up,” I said calmly.
