Accidentally Ghosting the Valedictorian

Summary

The valedictorian of our high school, who was now at MIT, suddenly added me on Snapchat.

I stared at the screen for a solid ten minutes before replying: "Can you CashApp me 50 bucks?"

The next second, he unfriended me.

Sigh...

I knew it was a scammer.

Our class president had always been an aloof, untouchable ice king. He hadn’t spoken a single word to me in high school. Why would he randomly add me?

Later, at a high school reunion, he had his arm around a gorgeous girl, smiling and telling us they were getting engaged by the end of the year.
