Aura Of Love

Summary

Ever since my eye surgery, I have been able to see the emotional auras radiating from people.

When someone deeply cares about another person, a warm orange glow surrounds them. I saw it when my neighbor returned from a business trip, his entire porch bathed in a passionate, glowing tangerine. I saw it when the old man down the street bought roasted chestnuts for his wife, a faint, tender warmth enveloping his frail shoulders.

But my husband, Declan, always emitted a pale, sterile gray.

Throughout the months following my surgery, his aura never changed.
