Summary
Julian authorized the release of the life-saving blood I had banked for seven years, giving it to his childhood best friend’s daughter.
His colleagues tried desperately to talk him out of it.
"What about Clara?"
"She has a rare chimeric blood type. She's at high risk for catastrophic hemorrhaging for the rest of her life. If something happens and she doesn't have her own blood banked, it's a death sentence."
Julian was silent for a long time before he answered softly.
"Lily is Audrey’s daughter. She’s just a little girl. She needs this blood more than Clara does right now."
