Summary
My five-year-old daughter is a compulsive liar.
I took her shopping for school supplies, but in the middle of the street, she shrieked that I was a kidnapper, nearly getting me hauled to the police precinct for questioning. When we got home, before I could say a word, she burst into tears and launched herself into my husband’s arms, pouring out her fabricated grievances.
“Daddy, Mommy wouldn’t buy me stationery, and she even hit me on the street!”
I tried to explain my side to my husband, Rob, but to my shock, after listening, he exploded in a rage and slapped me across the face.
