He Chose My Imposter Instead

Summary

Jesse went to the most famous spiritual temple in the mountains to burn incense.

When he returned, his face was weighed down by a dark, heavy gloom.

Only after I pressed him again and again did he finally break down and tell me what happened. He said a high monk at the temple had read his fortune. On his way down the mountain, he was destined to meet a girl wearing a white dress with braided hair. That girl was his soulmate—his absolute, heaven-decreed destiny.

And if he didn't end up with her, he wouldn't live to see twenty-four.
