Summary
Kate cried.
Not the happy kind of crying.
When I handed her the pregnancy test, she froze for a solid three seconds. Then the tears just started falling.
"Kate?"
She didn’t say a word. She just grabbed a tissue, wiped her eyes, and turned her back to me.
I thought she was overwhelmed with joy for me. Mark and I had been married for eight years. We’d been trying for a baby forever. Finally, it had happened.
But the way she was crying felt wrong.
