Summary

Ever since I was a kid, I could see people's second shadows.

It was a reflection of the soul. The shadows of deeply devoted lovers would entwine seamlessly, while the shadows of couples on the verge of divorce would slowly drift apart.

On the day my parents finalized their divorce, the shadow of the man who married my mother completely consumed hers. On the day my older brother finally walked away from a toxic ex, his shadow severed all ties with hers.
