I Gave My Future to Another Man

Summary

Seven days before my wedding, I discover that my stepsister Harper Brooks' wedding invitation lists the same groom as mine—Jeffrey Sullivan.

At first, I assume the printing company has made a mistake. So, I take the invitations to my mom to ask what's going on.

Before I can knock, I overhear her talking to Harper through the door.

"Marry Jeffrey first. Once the baby's born and everything's settled, he'll go back to Barbara. She owes you her life. Letting you marry him first is the least she can do."

Tears stream down Harper's cheeks. "But what about Barbara?"
