Summary

At a yacht party, someone suggests we play Two Truths and a Lie.

The rules are simple. If someone calls your bluff and proves that you are lying, you have to take a penalty shot.

When it's my turn, I look across the deck at my girlfriend of eight years, Claire Sullivan, and smile.

"I'm getting married this year."

Before anyone else can react, my best friend, Daniel Parker, raises his hand.

"Bullshit. That's a lie. There's no way you're getting married this year."

Laughter erupts around the table, and everyone turns to Claire, waiting for her response.
