I Spat Out the Coin and Won My Freedom

Summary

When I bit into the cherry pie and found the hidden gold coin, I spat it straight into the trash.

In my previous life, Clark Mercer, the Family's underboss, had made a joke at his private party.

Whoever found the gold coin in their pie could be his girlfriend for a month.

I wanted an excuse to stay by his side, so I bribed the chef to mark the right slice and made sure I got it.

Within that month, I got pregnant with his child and used the pregnancy to get him to marry me.

But after giving birth, my health declined rapidly.

Within a year, the doctors told me I was dying.
