Summary
My family is democratic. Every decision is always settled by a family vote. Mom, Dad, my older brother, and my little sister each get one vote.
I get one vote too. But the problem is that four votes always beat one. I never win.
When I'm a sophomore in high school, my brother, Jonathan Hayes, wants a new computer. The vote passes four to one. The money I'd spent three years saving for college course fees disappears overnight.
During senior year, I earn an early admission offer from North City University.
