Summary
I have severe, degenerative myopia. Without my glasses, human faces dissolve into vague smears of watercolor flesh.
My boyfriend, Owen, and my best friend, Tori, thought this was the funniest thing in the world.
Last week, before a dinner party at an upscale bistro downtown, Tori slipped into the bathroom while I was showering and hid my frames. When I came out squinting, she told me that if I couldn't find them, I shouldn't bother wearing them at all—after all, it was just our usual crowd.
