Love's Ultimate Sacrifice

Summary

The ninety-ninth time Christian’s new assistant mistakenly booked a divorce filing instead of a marriage license appointment, I stormed into his office.

“Christian, is this what a master’s degree from a top university gets you?” I snapped, shoving my phone in his face. “If she can’t do this one simple thing, then get rid of her!”

Christian glanced up from a mountain of paperwork, his expression unbothered.

“I told you, she’s too smart for this kind of administrative work,” he said flatly. “If you’d spent less time complaining to me and just did it yourself, you’d have been done by now.”
