Summary
I had already been murdered three times inside my brand-new condo.
In my first life, the killer jimmied the front door lock, dragged me into the bathroom, tortured me for hours, and methodically sawed me into pieces.
In my second life, terrified of that address, I sold the place at a devastating loss and retreated into a rundown brick walk-up on the edge of town. But late one rainy Tuesday, someone turned the brass doorknob from the outside. He violated me in the dark, dragged me to the gravel rooftop, and hurled me over the parapet.
