Summary

The day I gave birth, my sister-in-law, eight months pregnant, suddenly went into premature labor. My sister-in-law gave birth to a healthy boy, gaining status through her son and successfully marrying into a wealthy family. I, however, delivered a stillborn baby and suffered injuries that left me unable to have more children. My mother-in-law forced my husband to divorce me. When he refused, she threw him out of the house. Distraught, he suffered a heart attack and died tragically. To claim his inheritance, my mother-in-law ran me over with her car, killing me.
