Summary
I paid three thousand dollars to board my cat at an ultra-exclusive pet resort.
They promised a private suite, twenty-four-hour cloud camera access, and high-definition video updates three times a day.
On the eighth night of my business trip, I was scrolling through live streams when I saw her.
She had been shaved. She was wearing a tight breeding collar, locked in a metal crate with a massive male cat.
The streamer was grinning at the camera. "This blue bicolor queen has immaculate genetics," he said. "Drop your deposits now if you want to lock in a kitten from the next litter."
