Summary
During the sixth year of our long-distance relationship, I used the excuse of a heavy workload to tell my girlfriend I couldn't make it to her birthday.
But secretly, I had a set of keys and the deed to a cottage in my carry-on, boarding a ten-hour flight to the city where she lived. I wanted to propose in front of all her friends, to give her the surprise of her life.
