Summary
After being scratched by the fox-shifter for the umpteenth time, I went to the hospital alone.
The nurse grumbled, “That gash is deep, it’s definitely going to scar. Has your shifter ever received proper socialization training?”
I gave a wry smile, “He has. He was an honor student.”
My phone suddenly buzzed.
Leo, uncharacteristically, sent a flurry of messages: “Just a scratch, do you really need to go to the hospital?”
“I’m hungry, come back and make me dinner.”
“I’m starving with you.”
“You really don’t take good care of me.”
Was that truly what he thought?
