New Over Old

Summary

I got home late from work, and my wife told me she was in love with someone else.

"I just want to divorce him and be with him."

"Even if it means walking away with nothing."

My eyes fell to the divorce papers already laid out on the table.

Suddenly, a wave of relief washed over me.

"Fine," I said. "I agree."

It’s human nature to be drawn to the new and tired of the old.
