Pay Me Back In Millions

Summary

When I finally hauled our heavy, custom-framed wedding portrait up the three flights of stairs and into the apartment, my boyfriend of five years was wrapped around another woman.

Sean was on the living room floor, his arms locked tight around his lead actress, Delilah, blocking an intimate scene for his upcoming indie feature.

I hadn’t eaten all day. My vision was blurring at the edges, a dizzying wave of low blood sugar making my hands shake.

"Sean, can you give me a hand?" I croaked, leaning the heavy frame against the wall. "I just need to sit down for a second."
