Summary
I was standing at the finance desk, trying to file my travel expenses, when the accountant literally shoved my paperwork back in my face.
"New company policy," she snapped. "Lodging is capped at $50 a night. Food is $10 a day. You’re way over budget!"
"Linda, are you serious? I was in Manhattan," I replied, staring at her in disbelief. "Even a flea-ridden motel in Queens costs $200. You want me to sleep under the Brooklyn Bridge for fifty bucks?"
"Not my problem. Talk to the CEO. He set the rules."
