She Blew Our Lifeline on Her True Love

Summary

When Luca Blair, Daphne Barron's childhood friend, goes bankrupt, she takes the 100,000 dollars meant to save my life and our child's just to help him.

I beg her to return the money, but she snaps. "Luca will make it back. Think long-term for once instead of hoarding cash like an idiot."

When I demand a promissory note from him, she calls me cold-blooded.

Later, Luca breaks down crying, saying he lost everything and is going to starve.

Daphne holds him close, promising she will take care of him for the rest of his life.
