Summary
To take care of her college sweetheart, who had nothing more than a mild fever, my wife left our four-year-old daughter home alone. In her desperate rush to be by his side, she forgot to turn off the gas stove.
A catastrophic gas leak tore through our home, leaving our little girl critically burned. Trapped in an ICU bed, her dying wish was simply to see her mother one last time. But my wife refused her, coldly hanging up the phone because she was too busy brewing tea and unboxing cold medicine for her old flame.
Only after it was far too late did the horrifying truth shatter my wife's delusion. Broken by unbearable guilt, she knelt at our daughter’s grave to beg for forgiveness—and locked her beloved first love inside a commercial ice freezer to freeze to death with her own hands.
