Summary
My fiancée canceled the five-million-dollar investment I'd made in my best friend's company and replaced it with a five-hundred-dollar transfer.
She told me that real friendship shouldn't be measured in money.
Three days later, she invested a hundred million dollars in her childhood sweetheart's company at the most expensive hotel in Manhattan, in front of Wall Street investors and the media.
Everyone started cheering, telling her she might as well just marry the guy.
She didn't stop them.
Why would she? She believed that no matter what she did, I'd never leave.
