Taming the Ice King: A Million Dollar Mistake

Summary

After chasing the cold, aloof campus idol for a month with no success, I tried a different approach and threw money at him instead.

I didn't expect him to get even colder, to the point where his only responses were "Mm" and "Ah."

Me: "Liam, I want to eat an apple. Peel it for me, but the stem can't fall off."

Liam gave a simple "Mm" and silently picked up a paring knife.

Ten minutes later, I picked up a gleaming, freshly peeled apple from the plate for the third time.

With one light bite, the stem snapped off again.
