Summary
At 3:06 AM, I got a call from my husband. His voice was cold and demanding: "Go downstairs and move the car."
I immediately dialed 911, claiming he had murdered someone and the body was hidden in his trunk. Why? Because I don't even know how to drive. My husband loved me fiercely and would never order me into a dark parking garage alone in the dead of night.
When the cops arrived, the trunk was completely empty. Right on cue, my mother-in-law, my deadbeat brother-in-law, and his ambitious secretary showed up.
