Summary
At my best friend’s wedding, the bride’s bouquet arced through the air, fumbled by a groomsman, and landed squarely in my chest.
The entire room’s gaze shifted, as if choreographed, straight to Margot.
Eight years we’d been together. The crowd wasn't going to let an opportunity like this slide.
"Put a ring on it! Put a ring on it!"
"He’s got the flowers, Margot! You’re up!"
Pushed forward by a sea of laughing bridesmaids, Margot finally stumbled to a halt in front of me.
I looked at her, the white roses fragrant between us, quietly waiting for her to say, Let's get married.
