Summary
On Children's Day, the orphanage director brought out two boxes of treats for my sister and me.
One was a box of To'ak aged dark chocolate, the other a simple bag of White Rabbit milk candies.
My sister, Hazel, snatched the chocolate immediately, leaving me with the milk candy.
Hazel, clutching her prize, was adopted by a farming family.
She grew resentful. She thought the expensive chocolate meant a wealthy family, but it turned out to be farmers who had splurged once in a lifetime.
From then on, she tormented the couple, growing lazy, gluttonous, and deceitful.
