Summary
My husband, Nathan Carter, had taken an interest in a young woman he'd been sponsoring through school. He hired her as our housekeeper with a generous salary.
From that day on, my monthly allowance dropped from 120,000 dollars to just 120 dollars.
She had to approve every expense for our household of more than a dozen people. Even the cook couldn't buy an extra bag of salt without getting her permission first.
Furious, I went to Nathan to complain.
He only smiled, looking completely unconcerned.
"I like how careful she is with money. Don't you think it's cute?"
