Summary
There were three built-in closets in our hallway.
The largest was packed with Mike’s limited-edition sneakers and designer streetwear.
The middle one was draped in Coral’s pastel chiffon dresses and lined with collectible porcelain dolls.
The smallest one held my faded school uniforms and a handful of washed-out cotton tees.
Then, one Tuesday afternoon, I came home to find my closet completely bare.
My mother stood in the hallway, casually smoothing a piece of lint from her sleeve. "Oh, Coral had another delivery arrive today. Her dresses were getting wrinkled, so I borrowed your space."
