Summary
After we got married, my husband handed every cent of our family’s wealth over to his young personal assistant, Giselle Brooks.
From the weekly grocery budget to the purchase of a new car, every expense had to go through her. I was forced to submit to her layers of "audits" and wait for her signature before I could touch a dime of our own money.
Then the accident happened. My mother-in-law was rushed into surgery, and the hospital demanded a three-hundred-thousand-dollar deposit immediately.
