Summary
After my 99th proposal, I finally convince Bridget Sherman to go with me to register our marriage at the city hall.
Instead, all we get is a stern warning from the clerk. "Ms. Sherman, our records show that you're already married. If you register another marriage with Mr. Peterson, you'll be committing bigamy. That's a punishable crime that could throw you behind bars for up to two years.
"I strongly advise you to respect marriage and the law. Don't treat marriage like a game or test the limits of the law."
