Summary

At the company holiday gala raffle, I hit the jackpot. I won an Hermes Kelly bag with a market value of forty thousand dollars.

I rushed to a luxury appraiser the next morning, ecstatic about cashing it in, only to be told it was a counterfeit. A total fake.

When we got back from the holidays, I tried to report it to the Vice President, Ms. Vance. But the Head of HR, Brenda, intercepted me.

"Don't bother Ms. Vance with this petty nonsense," Brenda snapped. "Bring the bag to me. I'll handle the quality complaint and get back to you."
