Summary
At my son's kindergarten awards ceremony, the teacher invited the parents onstage to share their parenting experiences.
I was about to stand when Julian stopped me and motioned for my best friend, Wendy Morgan, to go up instead.
"Nathan is actually Wendy's and my son," Julian Cole said so calmly that he might as well have been discussing something that had nothing to do with me.
"Wendy has known for five years that Nathan is her son, but she hasn't been able to acknowledge him as her own. I don't want her to keep suffering in silence," he added.
