Summary
The night before Prince Dorian's consort-selection reception, I had a terrible dream.
I dreamed I got exactly what I wanted. I became his wife, and I wasted my entire life on it.
While I hemorrhaged through the birth and our baby died before it drew a breath, Dorian was at a lodge across the city, drinking to celebrate with another woman.
What they were celebrating was my labor.
My child hadn't been unlucky. Dorian had drugged me.
He'd promised that woman she would be the only one to ever bear his children.
