Summary
My dad hid my acceptance letter.
He kept it hidden for seventeen years.
Growing up, I tried so hard to be the good daughter.
Even though I figured out pretty early on that he favored my brother, just because he was a boy.
But when I finally saw that acceptance letter to the good high school, the one I earned, I just couldn't hold it together anymore.
"Dad," I cried, "I'm your daughter. Don't I deserve even a tiny piece of a dream?"
