The Five-Year Secret

Summary

I had been in a secret relationship with my brother’s best friend for five years. We planned to go public on New Year’s Eve.

But at the party, he didn’t mention it at all. Instead, he leaned close to my ear and half-jokingly said:

"I’m bored of sleeping with you. Go find someone else to marry, okay?"

I looked at him calmly, nodded, and said, "Okay."
