Summary
My sister cried.
It wasn't a happy cry.
When I showed her the positive pregnancy test, she froze for three whole seconds. Then, the tears started falling.
"Sis?"
She didn't speak. She grabbed a tissue, wiped her eyes, and turned away.
I thought she was happy for me. Arthur and I had been married for eight years without a child. Now, we finally had one.
But the way she cried was wrong.
Her hands were shaking.
When she left, she stood at the door for a long time, her lips moving, but no words came out.
The next day, she came back.
Holding a manila envelope.
