The Husband She Left To Freeze Has No More Forgiveness

Summary

I was the most emasculated husband in the Command Quarters.

My wife, Veronica Shaw—a high-ranking Colonel on the General's Staff—came with an entourage: her sister's widower, Mitch Thompson, and his daughter. I was the supporting character in my own life.

The scene was always the same: Mitch would stumble out of our bright, spacious master bedroom, flustered, with obvious red marks on his neck.

Veronica would start to explain, to stammer out an apology, but I would always cut her off, throwing her a lifeline, and severing my own in the process.
