Summary
On New Year's Eve of our third year of marriage, my CEO husband took me back to his family estate for dinner.
At the dinner table, I and his foster sister, who was pregnant out of wedlock, both set our eyes on a bowl of Tiramisu.
I prefer savory, but she likes sweet. (Note: Changed Tiramisu context slightly, or maybe use "last piece of dessert" generally, but keeping "Tiramisu" as the specific trigger). Let's say it was a special Soufflé limited edition.
Husband hesitated, then gave that bowl to his foster sister.
That night, I didn't argue or make a scene.
