Summary
Devin guarded his boundaries fiercely.
Three years of dating, and I’d never set foot in his apartment—his so-called sanctuary. I wasn’t allowed near his phone, not even to check the time. At group dinners, he always made sure I sat at the far end of the table.
I told myself he just needed space.
Then, the night before our wedding, I got a location pin from him. Thinking he was finally letting me in, I went to his building. The door was unlocked.
Inside, a woman curled up on his sofa in one of his oversized shirts.
