Summary

My people, the merfolk, were being hunted to extinction. To save them, I came ashore with a single purpose: to find Adrian, my childhood sweetheart, now one of the world's most brilliant scientists, and bind him to me once more.

He still loved me. I could feel it in his touch, a desperate, all-consuming passion. For seven days and seven nights, he held me, refusing to let go, lost in a haze of what I thought was rediscovered love.
