Summary
At Adam’s touring exhibition, someone made a passing joke that I was the only woman who had ever managed to stay by his side for so long.
He was a man of silence, fiercely protective of his boundaries. I, on the other hand, was gentle, compliant, and knew my place. For seven years, I genuinely believed we were soulmates, perfectly in sync.
Until Piper, his vibrant, free-spirited childhood friend, returned from London.
She knocked over his palettes and barged into his studio whenever she pleased. Every single thing she did directly violated Adam’s strict, unspoken rules.
